The Challenge

SSI Aero Structures is a global aerospace manufacturer supplying advanced aircraft structures to both military and commercial clients.

Their reputation was built on exceptional customer service. Clients dealt directly with senior staff and received fast, expert responses at every stage. While this approach created strong relationships, it also created a problem.

Sales activity depended almost entirely on senior personnel. Every enquiry, regardless of size or complexity, required high-level involvement. This made the process difficult to scale and placed increasing pressure on leadership as the business grew.

To support future growth, SSI needed a sales system that could attract new enquiries, manage early-stage conversations, and qualify leads properly before senior staff became involved.

The Focus

This project focused on building a structured sales system that reduced reliance on individuals and created a repeatable, scalable process.

The work centred on:

  • Clarifying and organising SSI’s complex range of services
  • Creating a clear hierarchy that prospects could understand quickly
  • Designing a sales funnel that matched enquiry complexity to the right level of engagement

What Was Built

Brand & Sales Structure

  • Service positioning and hierarchy
  • Brand and sales messaging aligned to technical audiences
  • Clear pathways from initial enquiry to specialist engagement

Website & Sales Enablement

  • A new website structured around the sales funnel
  • Sales materials designed to support different stages of the buying process
  • SEO and PPC used to attract relevant, high-quality enquiries

Sales System

  • A tiered approach to handling leads
  • Early-stage enquiries managed by junior team members
  • Senior staff brought in only when leads were warm, qualified, and complex

The Outcome

SSI’s services were reorganised into a clear, logical structure that made it easier for new prospects to understand what the company did and how to engage.

This enabled the creation of targeted sales materials and a defined funnel. Simple enquiries were handled efficiently at the top of the funnel, while more complex opportunities progressed through additional stages before reaching senior staff.

Junior sales team members were able to manage more conversations, build experience, and develop industry knowledge without being overwhelmed. Senior leadership regained time to focus on large accounts, technical challenges, and long-term strategy.

The Impact

  • A scalable sales system replaced a people-dependent process
  • Senior staff time was protected and used more effectively
  • Junior team members took ownership of early-stage sales activity
  • Leads were qualified properly before high-level involvement
  • The sales process became clearer, more efficient, and easier to grow

In Summary

This project shows how sales performance improves when services are clearly structured and supported by a system, rather than relying on individuals.

By aligning messaging, website structure, and sales flow, SSI Aero Structures moved from a relationship-heavy model to a scalable sales system built for long-term growth.
